If you've already checked in online, the process will be faster.

If you are traveling with kids, you should visit the Youth Center on the ship at some point after boarding the cruise. Some larger ships might have several spots, with activities arranged by age groups. Most contemporary cruise lines offer a variety of other casual dining options. These can include Mexican fare, cafes, pizza parlors, and outdoor grills, along with other options.
DON'T expect to be able to go right to your cabin
Crew members will be on hand on the first day to help you log in and connect. As you wander, especially out on deck, smiling crew members will be carrying trays of tempting and colorful icy drinks, maybe even decorated with sweet little umbrellas. Go ahead and grab one if you want — just understand you will be charged for the welcome drink. Eyes might roll, but now is the time to talk to the kids about the danger of climbing on any railings or standing on balcony furniture. Remind them that other people on the ship are strangers and that they should use the same caution they would at home.
This helps spread passengers out over time instead of having a big rush right when the ship opens for passengers. Some cruises may simply have a boarding window of several hours, allowing you to arrive at any time you like within that period. Arrive too soon and you may have to wait in the cruise terminal until your group is cleared to board. While most cruise terminals are pretty sparse in terms of amenities, it's better to arrive early and plan in advance.
Cruise Boarding Tips You Need to Know
Take the North exit from the airport, staying to the right on SR 528 East. During check-in, you will be asked to complete a health attestation. If you attest to or show signs of a fever, cough, or fatigue, you will be directed to a secondary screening. Yes, all purchases and services must be paid for using an onboard expense account.
These intimate, for-a-fee restaurants can be hard to get into (reservations are required) but are usually not as crowded on the first night of the sailing. Plus, some lines will thank you with a complimentary or discounted bottle of wine. Depending on when you arrive, cabins might not be ready, as the crew needs to clean and straighten them after the previous guests have left. It's best to stay out of the way of the cabin stewards and instead find a place for you (and your carry-on luggage) to hang out until the ship announces all cabins are ready. Many cruise lines assign passengers a staggered time to arrive at the pier.
Whoever you share a cabin with, you’re going to know them very well after your cruise. Cabins are small and the smells from the bathroom can linger. Instead, pack a small nightlight that you can plug in to provide a some illumination.

If you’ve checked in online, your room keys will likely be waiting in a sealed envelope at your door. One thing to note is that many ports of call have welcome areas right at the end of the dock. This often includes shops, restaurants, and spots to book excursions if you haven’t already. If you don’t feel like going anywhere, these spots offer something to do off the ship. If you plan on drinking a lot, then cruise lines also sell alcohol packages.
Royal Caribbean opens up the check-in at midnight (or 5-10 minutes after) based on the ship's home port time. You'll want to do this as early as you can in order to get an early check-in time and avoid wasting time in the cruise terminal. The check-in time you select is not the time you actually board the ship.

If you’re cruising with kids, make sure to visit and register for the kid’s camp. You’ll meet the counselors, see the planned activities, and your children may even make some friends. The kid’s club will start the first activities the first night of the cruise, so make sure to sign up as soon as you can on the first day of your cruise. If you haven’t yet had a cocktail, this may be the time! Take a few minutes before you explore your cruise ship, to relax and enjoy a drink with your family or friends. However, before you relax completely after the boarding process, here are the most important, and first things to do on your cruise.
Most people who work on cruise ships are just doing their job. Some staff members might even refuse to serve you food or drinks. Just remember to take care of yourself during your trip. Most cruise lines don’t send luggage tags to your home anymore. So, you will need to print and adhere your luggage tags to your bags before arriving to the terminal. We suggest printing the luggage tags at home and then adhering them to your luggage before taking your transport to the ship on embarkation day.
Don’t think, however, that disembarkation — getting off the ship — is as simple as just hopping off when the ship returns home. There’s a procedure to get thousands of passengers and luggage off the vessel, and it can take a couple of hours from when the ship arrives. OTC MedicinesFirst, any cruise ship will have a small store where you can pick up small items that you might have forgotten at home. But they are expensive (we’ve seen cold medicine for $17 a bottle) and not open around the clock. So if you have a stomachache in the middle of the night or a headache, you don’t want to have to wait… or pay tons of money.

If you purchased Royal Caribbean’s beverage package for your cruise, you can use it while in Labadee. Please note that I am not affiliated with Royal Caribbean International and that this article is simply my review of Labadee as I visited it many times. There is a beautiful park right next to it, with flowers, plants, trees, hammocks, and wonderful views of Adrenaline Beach. Bring your GoPro with a strap as there is no professional photographer taking pictures of you. You cannot bring anything on your zipline except for sunglasses, a phone (at your own risk – make sure you keep it secured), and closed-toe shoes. Just like shipboard, Royal Caribbean beverage packages are all valid on Labadee too.

All Labadee beaches have complimentary beach chairs and hammocks available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There’s also a covered Artisan’s Market with excellent shopping opportunities at 70 different booths. Look out for Rum of Haiti for purchasing local alcoholic treats and browse the goods at Carlos which sells beautiful hand-decorated skirts and clothing. Labadee is 32 miles west of the border with Dominican Republic and 134 miles south of Grand Turk, the nearest island.

There were no works during all scheduled ship visits to the island. During the Adrenaline Beach redevelopment were also added cabanas. Just as onboard your cruise ship, lounge chairs are complimentary.
It is also advisable to pre-book it as many activities are quickly sold out due to limited space. There are 3 main beaches in Labadee Haiti and they are all free to access. If you want an umbrella or a floating mat, these are for an additional charge and you need to sign up for them at the nearest signup hut. Guests from suites have the right to use Barefoot Beach Club where they have their own, private beach and a bar restaurant. There are also nature trails scattered throughout the resort that provide amazing views of the peninsula and surrounding sea.

My favorite cabanas in Labadee, pictured above are at Nellie’s beach and are tucked back into the jungle. They are also only steps from the water, which is very convenient. Nearby the aqua park is a waterslide that starts in the jungle and ends along the beach. The waterslide is pretty short and nothing special, so I’d skip this one. Whether you want to go fast or slow, the coaster is a short and fun activity during your day in Labadee. One of the most iconic and unique things to do in Labadee is the Dragon’s Breath Zipline.

Cruises are still calling into port in Haiti. Here’s why - CNN
Cruises are still calling into port in Haiti. Here’s why.
Crowds will build as the day progresses and most guests tend to fill spots closest to the dock first, extending out towards Adrenaline Beach and Columbus Cove. There are five beaches at Labadee, so it is a good idea to figure out which one you want to visit before you step off the ship. Cabana rentals go very fast, and they almost always sell out months or weeks before a cruise.

Lockers are available for an additional fee at the zipline sign-up huts. Weight restrictions apply and a waiver must be filled out before the activity. I also suggest you sign up for it in the morning, because it often gets canceled in the afternoon due to the winds. There are weight restrictions on this activity, and you must sign a waiver before joining it. You’ll find Royal Caribbean’s friendly staff everywhere, happy to answer all your questions. The whole resort is accessible and there are beach wheelchairs available, so guests in wheelchairs can easily navigate the area.
Most people think they will not use the brake for a more thrilling ride, but often get too scared and end up using it. The cost of the zip line in Labadee is constantly changing and can vary from one trip to the next. To give you a general idea, the zipline typically costs around $100 per person.
From a kayak, you will see the entire island with the mountains and beaches all at once. With a kayaking adventure, you can ride along the waters and take in the sight of the whole island from the coastline while you paddle at a leisurely pace. Want to check out the island at fast speeds for a heart-pumping excursion? This tour will take you along the coast of the entire island, and not just the peninsula of Labadee, but the island of Hispaniola itself. This area allows you to swim up to the bar table and order drinks without ever having to leave the water. You can rent a cabana or lay out on the sand for the day and just listen to the island breeze.
Labadee is an exclusive (privately-owned) Caribbean island port and resort destination located on Haiti's northern coast. This "private island" (area sized 260 acres/105 hectares) is leased until 2050 to the company RCCL-Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (now RCG-Royal Caribbean Group). Although the private resort is fenced off from Haiti, 100's of local residents are employed by Royal Caribbean to work at the resort. Surelly, measures to prevent Coronavirus in Labadee will be implemented and enforced prior to cruise ships docking.
Few tourist opportunities exist in Haiti because of the country’s political and economic instability. Other visitors can come by land to the resort's security gate or may use small water taxis from a nearby town. Guards are reportedly very "firm" with anyone (especially Haitians that do not work there) who attempts to breach the security perimeter.
From severe weather, to political situations, to economic factors, these are all taken into consideration when it comes to the safety of its guests, crew, and ships. If you don’t have a drink package, you can purchase drinks from the bars a la carte. This excursion will allow all ages on the boat, but only those who are able to handle their own equipment will be allowed snorkeling in the water. There are drinks and snacks available on the boat for the ride to the snorkel spot but guests who will be consuming alcohol must have a valid ID. Getting to see the island up close is great, but one of the best views in the Caribbean is from the water.
Celebrity Cruises offers as many 19 shore excursions and Royal Caribbean lists 43 cruise excursions. Passengers cruising in Grand Suites and above can access the Barefoot Beach Club with luxurious cabanas and an oceanview spa. All other passengers may book different cabanas categories, beach bungalows, beach loungers, and beach beds. Unlike what you may read in less accurate reviews, Labadee is not an island.
Controlled Haitian merchants are given the sole rights to sell merchandise and establish businesses in the resort. Though sometimes described in advertisements as an island, Labadee is actually a peninsula contiguous with Hispaniola Island. The cruise ships moor to the pier at Labadee which was completed in late 2009 and is capable of servicing Oasis-class ships. There are seven bars scattered across the peninsula, including a nice bar overlooking the beach near the main café building. It may either be non-alcoholic or have rum in it, depending on what the customer wants.
Planning ahead is a great way to score big savings, as Royal Caribbean often runs early saver deals to guests booking well in advance. It’s also pretty safe to assume prices usually go up as availability goes down the closer you get to your sail date, so booking ahead is a surefire way to lock in a great rate. That said, booking a cruise at the last minute can also yield some unexpected savings — but only if the itinerary you’re interested in hasn’t sold out yet.

If you can be flexible when it comes to your travel dates, you’ll have your pick of unbeatable savings. Popular vacation dates — like the holidays, spring break, summer vacation and week long cruises — sometimes see the highest prices (though you might get lucky with a seasonal sale). Royal Caribbean also offers deals based on departure ports and destinations, so if you’re a flexible traveler looking for great savings, you can plan your next vacation around which itineraries are on sale. Just check your email or visit RoyalCaribbean.com/cruise-deals to stay up to date on promotions, sales and special offers. Gingivitis is a common gum disease that causes inflammation, redness, and bleeding of the gums. It is caused by a buildup of plaque and bacteria on the teeth and gums. If left untreated, gingivitis can lead to periodontitis, a more serious gum disease that can damage the bones and tissues that support the teeth.
Dentists play a crucial role in the prevention and treatment of gingivitis. They can provide patients with education on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing and flossing, and can also perform professional cleanings to remove plaque and bacteria from the teeth and gums. In some cases, dentists may also prescribe antibiotics or other medications to help treat gingivitis.
When addressing a dentist, the appropriate title is "Dr." This is because dentists have earned a doctorate degree in dentistry, which is a professional degree equivalent to a medical doctor (MD) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO). The "Dr." title is a sign of respect for the dentist's education and training.
In some cases, you may see a dentist who has a master's degree in dentistry (MDS) or a bachelor's degree in dental surgery (BDS). In these cases, the appropriate title is "Mr." or "Ms." followed by the dentist's last name.
